Why is my garage door making grinding noises?
There could be several problems contributing to this noise. It could simply be worn rollers, a sign that the tracks are not properly aligned or a sign that your opener is failing. Find out for sure by contacting our professionals today.
My garage door is not opening or closing smoothly, what’s wrong?
Often this can be caused by loose parts in the system - it can also be caused by problems with the garage door rollers or bearings. Worn out pulleys could also be the culprit.
Why is rolling code technology safer?
The technology that was previously used made it possible for an intruder to perform a replay attack - anyone could intercept a code being transmitted and replay it at a later time, thus gaining access to your garage (and, through it, your home). Rolling code technology was invented to prevent this. Today, each time you use your Genie or LiftMaster garage door opener (two of the many brands that use this technology) a new code is generated, which makes any previous codes obsolete. Even if someone were to intercept it, it would be useless by that time.
